Parking & Tent Location

Green Area = Parking
Red Area = Off Limits
Yellow Area = Driving Path

We’re tent #13, to the right of the boat ramp.

Directions:

All vehicles should enter via the H3 main gate. Shirts are required to enter the gate. Please have a license readily available to show the gate guard and inform them that you are attending the Canoe Regatta. Once cleared to go through the gate, please follow the directions below.

  • Left at the traffic light on 3rd Street.

  • Left at the end of the road on to E Street.

  • Right on 2nd Street.

  • Left on C Street.

  • Right on 1st Street

  • Left into the main parking area.

    Please follow the signs directing you to the "Special Events Parking" area. Hui Nalu will have paddlers assist you to your parking space. Please be sure to park within the designated parking area and follow all directions of our parking assistants.


Member Responsibilities

  • Open Women/Novice Women - Tent set up on Saturday 7/13, meet time to be announced at Fridays practice. Clubs will be able to access the base on Saturday, July 13th, for set up between 7am and Noon. Once finished with set up, individuals will need to exit the base immediately.

  • Open Men/Novice Men - Light snacks, Paper goods, Water Jug & trash bags.

  • All paddlers - Break down tent, load trailer, make sure our area is clean before leaving. Meet at Halau to unload Tarita.

  • Potluck back at our site - Optional...

  • Good luck to all crews, paddle hard, stay positive and let's get to STATES gang!!!

Race Day

Information could change last minute. Please check in with your coaches on race day.

  • 5:30 am - Entry begins

  • 7:15 am - Coaches Mtg

  • 7:30 am - Base Commander Welcoming, Kaupiko Family, Pule.

  • 7:55 am - Colors: 5min warning

  • 8:00 am - Colors: Stand at attention toward the sunrise. Everything must stop at this time. This is military protocol, including parking cars.

    Food for purchase:

    Two food trucks and Kona Ice will be available for purchase. The marina store will also be stocked for

    Military Race:

    We will start the day with a special race highlighting Marine Corps Base Hawaii members. This is Hui Nalu's way of giving back to the base for allowing us to host our race on their base. It is also our way of incorporating them into our race while giving them a little taste of the special sport we all love and enjoy. Please kokua with us as we show our military ohana our aloha and cheer them on during their race. They would be great recipients of a fresh lei!

    Rules:

    Rules to help make our experience on the base successful:

  • Taking photos/videos is NOT allowed on the base, only photos of the race itself are allowed (away from the base).

  • Make sure your car is legal to be on the road. Riders are not allowed in the back of trucks.

  • Do not visit any other areas on the base except the race location.
    Please follow all posted signs and directions.

  • Refrain from wearing any clothing that is revealing or offensive (you will be asked to change or leave).

  • The pier and Marina Outdoor Recreation Center will be off-limits.

  • The marina store will be accessible for miscellaneous purchases but no rentals.

  • Please bag all trash and take it to the dumpster outside the fence line near the restroom trailer.

  • Please do not tailgate or hang out near your vehicles. This could catch the attention of roaming patrols. No one should be hanging out in or around their vehicles throughout the day (even if your car is in the front row).

  • Once the race ends and your area is cleaned up, please leave the base immediately and safely.
